Basic Information

This plant needs mild climates without abrupt temperature changes and with high relative humidity (> 60 %). It does not tolerate low temperatures, therefore, sufficient energy must be provided in case the plant will suffer stress. This will encourage flowering and a higher production of artichokes. On the other hand, high temperatures produce high stress levels that reduce the quality of the final product. Artichoke is a crop with numerous fungal conditions at the root, so special attention should be paid to the development of the root system and its health status. It needs optimal moisture in the bulb and therefore does not tolerate waterlogging as its root system is very powerful. It is susceptible to fungal diseases, so it is beneficial to follow preventive strategies focused on maintaining a balanced soil ecosystem.

NovaTec® Solub with DMPP nitrification inhibitor (NET technology) ensures greater efficiency in the utilization of nitrogen as well as agronomic advantages such as higher productivity, solubilization of microelements and lateral branching of roots. Through the availability of absorbable ammonium it allows an optimal utilization of the nitrogen provided. This reduces the losses due to washing and avoids contamination of groundwater layers.
NovaTec® Solub BS incorporates the beneficial bacteria P.G.P.R. (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria) that promotes plant growth through nutrient solubilization and biostimulation. The unique synergistic bacteria mixture of COMPO EXPERT is continuously applied together with the fertilizer to ensure its presence and promote growth in the root environment. The application of both technologies to the crop contributes to generate a strong and healthy root system, which will allow us to achieve a higher performance with maximum safety and quality for the harvest. This implies an improvement of the vegetative growth, with a greater number of internodes, an increase in the leaf area, and a greater length of buds, which leads to a better flowering and a higher production of fruits.
